Grafana Labs is hiring a remote Software Engineer to help build and operate its new Foundations “Metal” platform, provisioning storage, networking, and Kubernetes clusters on physical hardware for Grafana Cloud.

Grafana Labs, the company behind Grafana Cloud, is a 100% remote organization with team members across 40+ countries, building an open-source-based observability platform trusted by more than 10,000 organizations. This role is remote, with candidates considered in the UK, Spain, and Ireland.

As part of the Foundations group’s new “Metal” squad, you’ll manage the physical environment from bare metal to Kubernetes, provisioning resources like storage and networking and providing a Kubernetes control plane outside of public cloud for the wider engineering organization. The team works across Go, Python, and Shell, and values distributed-systems experience, datacenter experience, and participation in an on-call rotation.
