Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Grafana Backend Services) to build and operate backend services that deliver a unified Grafana experience for on‑prem and cloud customers in the UK (remote).

Grafana Labs (the company behind the open observability cloud) is a 100% remote organization with 1,600+ team members across 40+ countries. This Senior Backend Engineer role sits in the Grafana Backend Services squad, focused on delivering Grafana services end-to-end for both on‑prem and Grafana Cloud customers, from API ownership through operation at cloud scale.

You’ll deliver new backend functionality, contribute to and review design documents, participate in on-call rotations, and take ownership of the services you run while collaborating across squads. The role also includes mentoring teammates, influencing the roadmap, and embracing an open-source culture; solid backend experience (ideally Go) and familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, SQLite, Postgres) are highlighted.
