Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer in Spain (remote) to help build and operate Grafana Backend Services that deliver a unified experience for on‑prem and Grafana Cloud customers.

Grafana Labs (the company behind the open observability cloud) is a 100% remote organization with 1,600+ team members across 40+ countries, building Grafana Cloud and supporting an open-source, open-standards culture. This Senior Backend Engineer role sits in Grafana Backend Services and is open to candidates in Spain (remote).

You’ll help deliver new backend functionality end-to-end—from contributing and reviewing design docs through operating the services you run (including on-call), collaborating with other squads, and influencing the roadmap. The squad owns the API codebase and operations for key components such as the Grafana Backend API, the CLI tool, and orchestration infrastructure, and you’ll mentor teammates while focusing on robust, maintainable backend software and developer/user experience.
