Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Grafana Backend Services) to build and operate backend API, CLI, and orchestration components that deliver Grafana across on‑prem and Grafana Cloud for customers in Ireland (remote).

Grafana Labs (the company behind the open observability cloud) is a 100% remote organization, building Grafana Cloud and open-source products used by more than 35 million users and 7,000+ customers. This Senior Backend Engineer role joins the Grafana Backend Services squad, whose mission is to deliver a unified, end-to-end Grafana service for both on-prem and cloud customers, from owning the API codebase through operating its components.

You’ll deliver new functionality, contribute to and review design documents, participate in on-call rotations, mentor teammates, and collaborate with other squads across the Grafana Division. The role values solid backend experience (ideally Go), strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, SQLite, Postgres), ownership from requirements through shipping, and a focus on developer and user experience.
