Chainguard is hiring a Staff Software Engineer (Customer Platform) to lead end-to-end backend/API work on the integration layer that connects customers, partners, and internal product lines to its secure software supply chain platform, remotely from the UK.

Chainguard delivers hardened, secure, production-ready builds of open source software used by engineers and AI agents, helping organizations build faster, stay compliant, and reduce risk. The Customer Platform team owns the APIs, entitlements, policies, and platform primitives that are the first touchpoint for customers and the integration layer other internal teams depend on.

In this role you’ll own features from design through rollout, build and evolve backend systems and REST/gRPC APIs (Go), and act as the technical interface across engineering teams (e.g., Containers, Libraries, OS packages). You’ll also extend Chainguard’s agentic AI foundation into customer-facing experiences, mentor engineers, and help drive a product-focused roadmap with clear outcomes and deadlines.
