Chainguard is hiring a Principal Software Engineer (Libraries Platform) to set technical direction for scaling and automating its secure open-source library build and remediation factory across multiple language ecosystems in the UK (remote).

The Libraries organization runs a secure and reliable factory that continuously builds, verifies, and serves open-source libraries to customers and internal teams across multiple ecosystems.

As a Principal Software Engineer on the Libraries Platform team, you’ll own the technical strategy for multi-ecosystem scaling and drive end-to-end remediation automation—from CVE detection through patch, rebuild, verification, and release—with minimal manual intervention. You’ll set platform-wide architecture, partner cross-functionally with ecosystem and security teams, and raise the technical bar through mentoring, design reviews, and documentation.
